Looking at a HP, it seems that the hollow end would affect it's aerodynamics in a dramatic way vs. that of a FMJ. Can someone comment on how they differ?

tuft testing, Aerodynamics and Lift While I know no-one here would ever drive over 100 MPH on public roads, I am sure there are legal ways to do that on race tracks (cough, cough). Ahem, that said ... The look of most modern streamlined cars looks alot like the wing of a aircraft. Those wings are designed to lift lots of weight up into the air. I have heard of tuft ...

Happened to park my car opposite a gap between two buildings, which effectively created a wind tunnel effect. The channelized wind flow between the two buildings blew away the snow from the windshield and top of the car, while simultaneously shaping the snow on the trunk into a teardrop shape as it flowed around it. If you look closely you might see how the snow has tapered towards the back ...

Can anyone give me a comparison of the behaviour in flight of a fastback RV8 vs the conventional canopy. It certainly looks better (subjective) but does it stall differently or fly faster?

Greetz all! I am simply searching out ex-cadets/students from ADM for some feedback on the processes, staffing, aircraft availability, quality of training, etc. I have had wildly varying commentary so far from some people, and am trying to get a good feel for this institution. More specifically, although all comments are welcome, I am interested in the ME/IR course, and possibly ...

Quote: The LMC Super Cuda is a Viper V10-powered Barracuda designed to reach 200 MPH. The Cuda actually hit 208 MPH before the car's aerodynamics and the driver's balls finally gave out. The Ferrari Enzo it raced gracefully achieved 218 MPH. Who saw what I did there? 8NsiphQ5kKI

In the course of having my M5 worked on, I seem to have lost the underbody panel that holds my M5's guts in. From owning an E36 M3 and having that panel fall off on the freeway, I learned that there are aftermarket underbody panels that are manufactured with aerodynamics in mind which improve driveability at higher speeds. I have not seen or heard of any aftermarket underbody panels ...

Hey all, I was told by a friend the other day that if you have a bull bar and/or a bonnet protector, that it changes the aerodynamics of the air flowing over the bonnet into the intercooler. Has anyone else been told this? I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if it was true, but was just wondering.

I was wondering if anyone knows if there has been any testing of the lightweight wheels to show what their strength is...? To date all the focus on lightweight and aerodynamics..?

I'll try and explain this the best I can. Would a vehicle weighing 3000lb that has 200hp/torque run the quarter mile in the same time as a vehicle weighing 6000lb and having 400hp/torque if the following were met: -Exactly the same aerodynamics -Simulated enviroment, so same traction, etc -driver does ...
