Is this the same/or similar to the aeration stones you find online at the HBS? Everything seems to be made out of stainless steel but it doesn't state a micron. Was thinking of using it to make a diy aeration wand, what do y'all think? McMaster-Carr: 4402K52

We are looking for some help on estimating this job which is 2 acres on a fairly level lot pretty open lot but with some fencing. What is the going rate for core aeration & when you are over seeding is it a flat rate or per sq ft. Please give us some advice.

I haven't pushed aeration in the past because I'm not set up to do it very quickly. Any I get I just sub out. I have been leaving it up to the customers to mark any obstructions on their own. My question is this: do you ever have problems with phone/cable lines when you are pulling 3.5 inch plugs? I have seen how these guys bury the line, and occasionally even hit one with the ...

Aeration experament. I Am ready to do my first AG brew this weekend. I was planing on using a fish pump to aerate my wort, but after seeing a post were some one created a venturi by adding a few holes to racking tube at the kettle. A maintenance client that I have requested an aerate, 3 days ago. We've had a mild November over all, but I feel the ground temps are getting too cold to actually utilize an aeration. But, on the other side of the coin, this is a newer construction home and the lawn could use an aeration just for the compaction factor. Any thoughts ???? I Just told my client that I would ...

QUOTE(Felix @ Dec 1 2009, 05:43 AM) About the starter, when making a lager, I tend to go BIG on starters. Typically a two liter for a couple of days on the stirplate, refrigerate for about a day, to drop the yeast out of suspension, decant the 'beer', then a 1 gallon for a couple days on the stirplate, refrigerate to drop the yeast out of suspension, wait 'till brew day, decant the ...

That covers the basics, but I will continue to post anything that seems particularly relevant. I am working from memory here so bits and pieces keep occuring to me. When I first presented the idea of using a compressed dirt surface as a base, our land expert and our chemical engineer [a bit of a big shot] looked at each other and immediately suggested that rather than using a liner, the ...
