I was wondering if anyone has bought something from Adorama.com. They do photography equipment and I am in need of another memory card. I was going to get the SanDisk Extreme 3 2GB from Newegg but they are out of stock. Amazon.com has them as a seller and they look alright but I just want to see if anyone has any dealings with them. Marry Christmas everyone

Just got several sets of cards back from Adorama. They were printed on metallic paper and come with envelopes. If you get 25 of each card they are 99cents per card. All I can say is they are unreal. The metallic paper on the 5x7 card is really perfect. They printed them the next day after my order and shipped them the same day. I couldn't recommend it enough. GG

Is anyone else having trouble getting in touch with Adorama right now? Their web site is so slow as to be unusable with web pages taking far too long to load or timing out altogether. I tried accessing the site from different PCs on different connections but there was no improvement. Nor could I contact their webmaster to report the apparent problem. In frustration, I tried phoning them at 09:...

Has anyone seen or even heard of this possibly new portable lighting rig from Adorama, their Flashpoint series? http://www.adorama.com/FPBPL.html?searchinfo=+FPBP L I saw it first on eBay but it carried no description at all. On the Adorama site, it's listed but without much info and a couple of pics, some of which I can't quite understand. From what I can see though, it's 400 watts, has dial ...

Aside from the "reviews" on the Adorama site, what have been the actual experiences of posters here regarding repairs (including comments on the Nikon 90-day warranty and the Mackwarranty), service, shipping, etc, on purchases of refurbished D700s from Adorama?

I'm not saying it's bad, but the wording is very confusing. Anyone ever returned something to Adorama here? Their policy says: Please ship your parcel back to Adorama freight prepaid and Insured. Sorry, Adorama cannot accept COD or freight-collect shipments. What is freight? Just anything? Does USPS with insurance work? I'm really afraid this might be a really dumb question, I've just never ...

I am so behind this year. I do not have an account set up with WHCC yet or anywhere that does press-printed products that I know of. I see that Adorama has an option to have a 4x6 photo mounted on a 5x7 card that comes with an envelope. Has anyone tried these. I figure it still might be better than a store bought box card as I can add our own greeting, but I am curious if anyone has tried ...

Hey all, I am looking to get a softbox around 36"x48" or so to add to my Adorama Flashpoint monolights. Can anyone here compare the quality of Adorama's own Flashpoint softboxes vs the Calumet Nova boxes. The price seems similar, although I think the Flashpoints include the needed speedring whereas with Calumet I would have to also order one of those. If the quality of the Calumet is much ...

Adorama currently has a special on the white K-x. You can pick one up with free shipping for $549. Less than 14 days ago, when I purchased mine, it was at $619! Luckily I got refunded the difference of this sale price. Here's a link to the camera on Adorama: http://bit.ly/7Tz5Y4 At the moment, Adorama's price is cheaper than Amazon (both offer free shipping). Plus, you can get 3% cashback ...

Back on to the subject. I have been extremely pleased with Adorama. Good packaging and fast delivery on everything I have bought. I think they are one of the companies that have discovered how great customer service can pay real dividends in today's competitive market.

No, I have been fortunate, so far, in having never received something that was damaged or otherwise not working properly, or an incorrect order. Therefore, I have never returned a piece of photography gear/equipment or anything else to either Adorama/B&H (where over 90% of my equipment has been purchased) or any other place. I tend to purchase exactly what I know I want to keep, and so have had...

The price is now up to $2,199. I was hoping it would go just a bit the other way or B&H would have one at the same price or B&H/Adorama (they appear to compete pretty much down to the penny) would reduce the new D700 by $100 down to $2299. I'd bite there.

I buy fairly often from Adorama. I consider them basically the equal of B&H. It just depends on price and availability on the item I'm buying. I've always been satisfied with both of them.

I buy bodies locally always but for lenses I often buy from overseas (Adorama or BHPhoto), prices are often far better than any local prices, and as others have said they ship faster than local online stores.. Only problem is warranty but I will try Dagil's trick and see if I can grab warranty that way, though so far (in 5 odd years) I have never had a warranty issue with an original Pentax ...

They also do digital photo printing. I've ordered some prints from them and they came out very nice. Adorama is one of the two great NY-based photo-video stores. The other being B&H.
