so i wanted to try out acrobat reader 9 pro extended. I downloaded the trial, installed the program, updated to 9.2 restarted the computer. Everything worked fine, till i came to the license agreement. but when i clicked "accept" so i could use the program, acrobat simply closed! i tried it again --> same problem i reinstalled: same problem. microsoft freezes when I try to open reader says there's internal error i cannot uninstall them firefox doesn't open what do I do? I need the computer working by the end of tommorow!!! It's a nw laptop as well with windows vista and word 2007! 1 person needs an answer I do too

I want to open a fdf or xfdf file in visual basic with the acrobat 7 browser control type libary. When i open a PDF file with the acropdf1.loadfile method it works perfecly. But when i try to open the fdf or xfdf file the appears the error-message "file does not begin with %pdf-". Think that is normally right, because the first digits in the file in pdf must begin with %pdf-1.5 or something ...

Hi, I have just received a password protected PDF file (Password isn't for opening the file, but to change security settings like copying, editing etc. only). I have the password for the file, but have no idea as to where I should enter this password in Adobe Acrobat Reader 9? pdf in safari 4 are opened (in the browser window) with preview. but when I then want to open the pdf in preview with the popup dialog on the bottom of the window, the pdf gets opened with acrobat reader 8. I deleted the plug-in in library-> internet plug-ins, undid the automatic launch thingy n acrobat reader - did not help. any suggestions? cheers...

Hi to All, Acrobat 9 (included in CS4 design premium) does not recognize the smart card reader. I have a smart card reader ACR38 smart card that works with all applications except Acrobat 9 pro. Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader & Acrobat Manager: I just noticed that these are clicked on in my System Configuration/Startup tab. It is necessary that these two be left on to start with the computer and I turn it on? Do they slow the computer's starup?

The 32 bit .deb file does not install on 64 bit ubuntu systems. Let me know if there is a trick to getting the 32 bit .deb file to install on 64 bit systems. Why was the 64 bit Acrobat created for Windows 7? The reasons would be the same for Linux. The 64 bit Acrobat would allow working with very large pdf files. Kind regards, Ralph Navarro...

The overprint settings would need to be set in the source file and preserved when generating the pdf. Based on the information from the uploaded file, you might try Arbortext Advanced Print Publisher support.
