I know you can buy applications from the app store to view them but with PDF being native in Mac OS X, how come Apple has not created a PDF viewer? Or even Adobe for that matter?

ANSWERED I shared a pdf created in Acrobat 9 Pro for Mac with clients who use Acrobat Reader 8.0. for Windows. They were able to comment (sticky notes), I combined all comments into one master document. With Acrobat Pro 9 I can print the comments on one side of the page and the original document on the opposite page. However, my client does not have this option. ...

Hi, the mighty people of Adobe! There is a document (U3DElements.pdf) somewhat describing parts of U3D spec supported in Acrobat/Reader, but what about PRC? Some parts are clearly not supported (like setting a tessellation face wireframe - the setting is followed by 3D Reviewer, but not by Reader - it shows all triangles), while many others may or may not have visible effects (...

The word NEW is likely your problem. You may have VISTA or Win7. AA7 may work on the system, but not in total. Very likely you will not be able to use the Adobe PDF printer directly. You are talking about the nickel from Adobe, but it may more be related to an OS upgrade that caused a functional failure in Acrobat. Acrobat works at a lower level of the OS to produce the PDFs and that is where ...

Could not lunch Adobe Reader 9.2 Please make sure it exists in PATH variable in the environement. If the problem persists, please reinstall the application." Evidemment j'ai réinstallé plusieurs fois sans résultat! A l'aide SVP !!!

Thanks - I was going to resort to that, but I still need Acrobat as I use it create pdf's a lot. I don't want to pay for an upgrade to Acrobat as v6 does all that I need. My PC happily defaults to reader v9 to open pdf's on my computer, it is only ie that insists on trying to use Acrobat v6 Any ideas? If I do as you suggest, but then reinstall Acrobat I assume I will still have ...

I browsed the responses and didn't see our exact situation. We just pushed out an upgrade to Adobe Reader (and Acrobat, but the problem is with Reader) from 8.1.2 to 8.1.7. You'd think it would be pretty straight forward. About half of the people in the agency seem to get an error when they try to view a PDF in the browser, "There is a problem with Adobe Acrobat/Reader. Please exit Adobe ...
