How do you let a guy know that you would definitely say "yes" if he asked you out on a date? I have an acquaintance that I wouldn't mind going out on a date with, but I'm too chicken to make the first move. We are in the same circle of friends, but only see each other at gatherings of friends, so I'd like to get to know him better one-on-one. I think he may know that I'm interested, but I'm ...

by the way, nice to make everyone's acquaintance here. they did a forward split in 2005. just amagine if a reverse split was on the way, this would fly. maybe we won't need one but nevertheless would be nice.

Paranoid or not? We're moving into a house in December and an acquaintance suggested rop checking the Sex Offenders Registry to see how many sex offenders there are in my new neighbourhood. I hadn't even thought about this and am actually a little scared to look. Has anyone done this?

I do some charity work for a homeless shelter. I met this gentleman there as he is also a volunteer. He is the real deal. I wanted to pimp his book here because he has the same values most of us here have. http://www.npauthors.com/index.php?o...108&Itemid= 188

Fear and Nausea: Your stories, please. I'm working on some psychology homework, and I need some help! Interview a friend, relative or acquaintance regarding something that elicits feelings of fear or nausea in that person but does not do so in most people. Determine whether that person can recall events that may have led to this unusual reaction. Well? Got any? Shiny ...

Bryant Gumbel conducts an exclusive one-on-one interview with Jimmy Battista, a high school acquaintance of disgraced NBA referee Tim Donaghy. In his first media interview, Battista offers a detailed first-hand account of what took place when he teamed up with Donaghy and launched a betting strategy that would rock the NBA and end in prison terms for Battista, Donaghy and third associate Tommy ...

( Whenever I make a new acquaintance, whether in real life or on FB, I look up their friends to see who they know. One of my friends is FB friends with Gina Gershon and Zach Gafiniakis. It's like a board game ... collect celebrities ... a Gina Gershon is worth 20 points and a Zach Gafiniakis is worth 40. The first person to collect 1,000 points wins. I met an up and coming...

Hey Supermoto Junkies, my name is Rob and I stumbled on to this great little site in 2007 with the help of an acquaintance, Skr00zloose. I would have registered then, but shortly after I found the website I tore the ligaments in my left knee and separated my right shoulder in a horrific sporting accident (not powersports related). Anyways though, I am from Virginia, have been riding on the ...

I go the local coffee shop every day. One morning I walked in and this good looking girl took my order. Later that day I found out an acquaintance of mine actually works with her. As the days went on, I felt like asking her out. For myself, I find it difficult to warm up to strangers, but I'm very outgoing with people I know. As you can expect, it's hard for me to randomly talk to this girl, ...

No hope while you have while Gordon Brown in power. "That extraordinary figure of 50,000 shows how bonuses in the public sector have become routine rather than exceptional. According to one senior civil servant of my acquaintance, it was Gordon Brown who was behind the rapid spread of ?performance? bonuses throughout the ranks of officialdom. The bonus element is worth about 10% of ...

So I emailed him to tell him that I'd be interested in doing something sometime. Turns out he's not interested. He says he's "too busy" to date right now and doesn't want to date someone long distance anyway (we live 1.5-2 hours away from each other, but his family and several friends live in my area, so he's up here fairly often). Oh well, time for the next victim...I mean, potential suitor...

An acquaintance of mind goes though two Toshibas a year. He wears out the keyboards. My evidence supports that the HP Pavilion is far and away the worst for notebooks. Backlight and optical drive failures are in competition for which kills them first.
