Alright. The classic abortion thread. Is there a problem with abortion? Yes. Personally, as a female and not looking through a christian's perspective, I do believe abortion is wrong. I believe that blah blah even though it's technically not human, or whatever people say it is still murder. It's a silent murder basically. Why it's legal i have no idea why. This is stemming from my ...

A friend of mine just found out she was pregnant and she is currently about 19 weeks. What is the latest gestational age for her to have an abortion? Answer Hello, Cindy, If there is any way you can talk your friend out of having an abortion, please do! Abortion that late is very dangerous, and can have severe long-term repercussions. It will also be very expensive, and she needs to be ...

An anti-abortion group says it is excited about Tony Abbott leading the federal opposition. Mr Abbott, a conservative Catholic, has said on the record he believes abortion is a stain on Australia's national character and should be reduced. Right to Life Australia president Veronica Andrews said she hoped Mr Abbott would use his position to speak out against abortion and voluntary ...

We are doing an exercise in class with moral theology and I had the students give me their 3 best arguments against abortion. I am just curious what some of the great minds of Phatmass would say in a similar situation.

If it seemed like the congressional row over abortion coverage in health care reform had ebbed, it was probably just an artifact of Thanksgiving recess. Sen. Ben Nelson (D-NE) is charging ahead, and plans to introduce an amendment to the Senate health care bill in the spirit, if not the precise letter, of the controversial Stupak amendment. "It's as identical to Stupak ...

Here is an interesting example of how in non-Western societies it often doesn't matter what the official laws in the books say - the actual customs of the people may be entirely different. Abortion has been de jure mostly banned in South Korea, and yet is de facto much more common than even in the US. Sort of like Mexico is on paper more pro-life than America, but not in reality....

By Cash McCall: Liberals are trying to convince us being pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage, pro-socialism, pro-zyclon B deathcare, pro-crap and tax is now the "moderate" position. And of course anything remotely conservative is moved far to the right and ultra liberal doxy clearly now the "mainstream." The polls tell another story, Obama is nosediving and now has just 45% of his idiot ...

November 27, 2009 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) - With the Patrick Kennedy Communion flap and the recent action of the Bishops of Spain having opened up the issue of denying communion to pro-abortion politicians, it is worthwhile to review the position of the Vatican on the matter. Since the controversy came to a head in 2004, the stance from the Vatican on the matter has been clear and consistent...

I am not sure where exactly to post this.. I was thinking the healthcare forum, but this is more of a morality thing.. Assuming that abortion is made illegal.. What would the punishment be?? As often as rightwingers throw around words like murderers and baby killers.. Would you try and convict a young female for murder and then execute her for an abortion?? Is there really teeth ...
