So SIL's b-day party was yesterday and she had a bowling party. I was bowling with a light (10lb) ball, but the floor was way slipperier than I was expecting, and I think I pulled an abdominal muscle in trying to keep myself from falling. It's been pretty painful, but I've got a walking stick to help me walk until my dad brings me his cane tomorrow. I haven't had any bleeding or leaking of ...

So I already have a call into the doctor but is anyone else experiencing lower abdominal muscle pain?  Below the belt line.  It isn't cramping but instead feels like all of the muscles are stretching.  I didn't experience this in my first pregnancy until much later when I was actually showing.  I wouldn't think that at 7 weeks the baby would be big enough to cause this pain.... I also have ...

I did a stupid thing at the start of the Summer and trained hard through a heavy cold. Since then I have had a persistent niggle under my left ribcage. I've been thoroughly checked out by doc (chest xray, blood tests etc) and all vital signs are normal. The conclusion is an abdominal muscle problem possibly due to heavy coughing, It doesn't seem to be getting any worse but any improvement is ...

Just wondered if anyone else had ever experienced this. I had my appendix removed 18 months ago and because it wasn't infected they did a larger op and had a good look round inside me so I was left with a 5 inch scar on level with navel right side. After the op for first 3 weeks my muscle above incision was in constant mild spasm that was more tight feeling than painful and after months eased ...

...on my right side where my ribs attach to my abdominal muscles.  Hurts to the touch (from the outside), twist, baby kick, to reach with my right arm.  The pain is a sharp pain, almost like a charlie horse when I move the wrong way...dull ache the rest of the time.  Any helpful hints to make it go away quickly?

I have had the same problem since I had my first child,28 years ago.I have thought I was alone all this time.A muscle under my upper right rib cage nots up any time I try to do sit-ups.It has also happened when I've bent over to pick something up,and even during sex.I had a test to see if my gallbladder was working properly a couple of weeks ago.The doctor said it was working 50%....
