I am running rdbms 10.2.0.3 on linux Itanium and I am using ASM for the database files. I installed the ASM home into the same database home. In duplicated code using Lockbits in VB to obtain the address of Bitmap.Scan0, the first is OK, in all applications, but the second NEVER is. What is the explanation please? Surely both StartAddrA and StartAddrB should be valid pointers to Bitmap.Scan0 for calls to valid, functional ASM code in the functional DLL. The error is, it seems, in the VB Lockbits process. my asm automatically re-newed and I did not want to re-new it. Also there was no money in my paypal at the time and it took money from my bank account, i did not want this to happen, if you could give me the steps upon what to do to void this payment that would be supreme. thanks

I haven’t tried ASM for over 30 years so perhaps I should expect a problem or two. It seems ASM cannot be used in managed code so I put the ASM in an ATL DLL and called it from a button on a VB form to invert an image. I sat for FM in August and will be studying for MFE for the spring . Haven't been back here for a while and don't remember what the syllabus said in Aug, but as far as we know, any changes to syllabus that would make ASM less than comprehensive? Simple yes, with short detail, or no will suffice. Much appreciated.
