with the Angels losing Figgins, Lackey, and probably Vlad with the acquisition of Matsui, I think Seattle overtakes them with them adding Figgins and Lee despite probably losing Beltre

This team is about to end LA's long run at the top of the AL West. As a Tigers fan, it's exciting to see a potential change in the upper echelon of AL teams. Every year it's the same thing with Boston and NY dominating all season along with the Angels taking a 20 game lead into August. Seattle will be a dominating postseason team with that 1-2 punch at the top of the rotation. Your offense ...

With the Mariners expected to acquire Cliff Lee in exchange for mid-level prospects, they appear to be making a strong push to win the AL West in 2010. Felix and Lee at the top of the rotation is imposing enough, and stealing Chone Figgins away from the Angels hurt a division rival and helped their team. It remains to be seen whether the Mariners have the power in the middle of the lineup to ...

Still belongs to the Angels but the Mariners are clearly the favorite now. Its theirs to lose. The Mariners are just missing that 100+ RBI guy to knock in Ichiro and Figgins and score some runs for Lee and Hernandez. Great job by the Mariners but a MAJOR bust for the Angels. 1. Mariners (97-65) 2. Angels (92-70) 3. Rangers (85-77) 4. A's (76-86) Do we turn to Wang? Sheets? Wait til the All-Star...

Felix Hernandez and Cliff Lee on the SAME STAFF?. The bullpen will only improve with the experience alot of guys gained last year, all we need now is one or two guys who will MASH consistently through the year and we'll be good.

The Rangers DID improve; their front office obviously came into this offseason with a plan in mind. I think that, as of now, they are the most improved team in the AL West, and will be an even greater threat next year than they were this year. Millwood might have had a good season last year, but look at his stats before that. And the guy is 35! Harden might be a risk in terms of injuries, ...

Omar's back, but not in the AL West Posted By Larry Larue on November 23, 2009 at 2:12 pm Share this Omar Vizquel Omar Vizquel signed that one-year, $1.375 million deal with the Chicago White Sox we mentioned last week, and he may owe a piece of it to Ken Griffey Jr. Last September in a Mariners-Rangers series, Junior wound up at second base when Omar was playing second, and the two chatted ...

Well if your getting a 4.08 ERA with just two pitches the whole year then you know ur good. and if the Rangers have 2 pitchers with a 4.08 ERA over the course of 200 innings in '10 (Harden + replacement), it's not an improvement over what Millwood did in 2008

But interesting now...what do the Rangers do with Michael Young? Platoon him with Lowell? Make Lowell a DH? Move Young to the OF? I suspect DH. THe title of this thread contains "so far" and thus yes, the Rangers have pulled off the best moves thus far...thus far... And even still are they even that great? Millwood's IP's I feel are far more important than Harden's allure compared to his ...

So the A's are just gonna sit there and watch the other teams gobble up the FAs? Who will be their primary offensive player now that Cust is gone? I might as well just defect and follow the Giants.

Yeah, all we need is one or two good power options to bat 3rd and 4th and we are easily favorites to win the West this year. Good job Jack Z, just one or two more moves and we are golden!
