This is a professional DSLR package. It starts with the a700 camera, a great camera. Add to it 5 lenses, the battery grip, the Sony flash unit and a few accessories. The package includes some filters, flash accessories, two batteries and two chargers. I would like to sell it as a total package, but will consider selling item by item. The camera and all the lenses are clean, in excellent ...

I need some advice - I am considering a move up from Sony a700 to a 5D MK II (my budget does not extend to a Nikon D3 or Canon A1) my reasons/questions are:- a) Less noise at > 800 ISO - it would be great to use 1600 or even 3200 the a700 just does'nt do the job, 800 is pushing it - is the 5D mkII really the best in its class/price range ?. b) Full Frame - I am also considering a900 and Nikon ...

Hello Head-Fi I have had my pair of Audiotechnica ATH-A700 full size headphones for a few months now and I was wondering if anyone knows of an affordable (preferably around $100) set of earphones that have comparable sound quality or a great set for a Cowon S9. I will be getting the Cowon for Christmas in a month and I have a set of $40 Sony Fontopias that I'd like to replace with something ...

I've been listening to music from the ALC888 in my laptop for awhile now. I suppose it doesn't sound bad compared to the X-fi xtrememusic in my desktop using my ATH-A700. The problem is recent my hearing has gone wierd. Almost all music sounds muddy(I listen to classical and rock only). Sometimes the perceived volume is so low that I have to change the volume from 6%(the usual) to like 15-20% ...

Hi all, I'm looking at the K-x or the K-7 to replace my LX3. I have owned multiple Sony dSLRs (A200, A700, A900) and a few Nikon bodies (D50, D90), but decided to focus on basics and use the LX3 exclusively. I've enjoyed it, but I really miss the DoF and feel of an SLR. I'd get a Sony, but they haven't updated the A700, and none of their cams offer video capture (which is as important as ...

Hi Over the last 2 years i have upgraded from A100 to A700. i have kept the A100 as a backup. I want to invest in the A900 but have the following questions: what flash unit would be best suited to the A900? landscape would i have any issues with 10 -20 sigma lense? (would this now be the wrong lense for full frame?) would i have any issues with Sony 100 f2.8 macro? protrait - using ...

Hi I am about to purchase a D700 after a bad experience with the Sony a850 which is being returned. I am presently using a Sony a700 which is excellent except that I am not entirely happy with its high iso noise and I want to go full frame. I believe the best noise at high iso camera is the D700 and I most definitely want full frame. I am delighted that the D700 also has a flash which the ...

So who wants to have a KM5D for only £465. The seller has a lot of fantasy, if he managed to sell it for that I'll sell mine straight away and get a new A700. I think £200 would be a lot to ask. http://www.gumtree.com/london/90/49781190.html

Hi, I want to buy an SLR with a view to doing portrait photography for a job in the future. I have narrowed it down to the following: Olympus E30 Sony A700 Nikon D90 Canon 50d Pentax K20d Any ideas or recommendations on which would offer the best pictures in a studio environment? P.S My original favourite was the Olympus E30 due to the very good glass but i am open to suggestions

I spent most of Friday with an informal group of bird photographers at both Wakodahatchee and Green Cay Wetlands. They used exclusively Nikon and Canon equipment except for a Sony a700 shooter and me and my E-510. Only one photographer used a tripod. All Lenses and/or bodies were IS. Also we were able to lean on the boardwalk railings for steadiness. We moved from one wetland to the other (they...

More of Sony's cheap and crappy consumer products: www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/638987-REG/Sony_HDC 1500R44... =) Not to mention Samsung, a total consumer brand with no heavyweight professional products… Of course, none of this has any significance when this thread is based on yet another silly rumour that's probably no more true than the others....
