I have a copy of Vista that I just bought and put on my main PC. I want to know if im able to use the same code and disk to install Vista on my laptop as well. Quick and easy. Ive heard yes and no and I just wanted to see if anyone knew.

Just came on to post as this topic frustrated me this weekend on a Windows 7 install followed by a WinXp install. Firstly yes the syntax is wrong - XXX should be / XXX etc... Secondly the "ntldr" must be created hence first try this: bcdedit /create {ntldr} /d "WinXP" Thereafter you can follow the steps in the guide.. (note the drive in the /set command is that of your XP install)....
