A few notes from Milford. Yesterday I talked to an acquaintance of mine who works at the mine. He told me he has heard rumors of LTF in the near future, but he's heard rumors before that didn't pan out. So Richard could be right about this one....or it could just be another rumor. Who knows, but let's hope this one comes true, because.... ....he also told me that he went in on Friday to get his ...

It's not a personal attack unless it's on a member. Swearing is allowed... Unless of course it is excessive. That is all. With the multiple reports we've recieved in the last few days I just wanted to point those out. Also, I beg everyone to review the community guidelines. I couldn't point out a single girl on this board that either follows them or understands them. If ...

Obama's healthcare reform...a few notes. To understand how somehow distant often are the political and social perspectives from the two sides of the pond would be enough to read what the centre-right italian administration's speaker Mr Bondi had to comment about the first step forward of the ...

Responding to an issue raised on another thread, that with regard to determining/predicting the age-worthiness of wines: First of all it is important to realize that the great majority of wines that make their way to market are meant to be consumed in their youth – in the case of many wines within one year of release, in others three-four years of the release. That a wine is not meant for ...

Just got back on 10/ 31 from 7 days in the World. We arrived on 10/25/09 and were celebrating my DD 8th birthday. Upon arrival, she had a 102.0 temperature. I knew we were getting out of Michigan just in the nick of time, but this was crazy. Not sure where you are all from, but here in MI, they are closing schools left and right due to the flu/ H1N1 virus. I knew our time was coming, but ...

If anyone sees an abandoned proposal in the Archives which they want to revive, just let me know. If it isn't your original proposal, but would like to revive it, make sure you get permission from the original starter before doing so. Alternatively you can just open a new thread with a similar proposal. Also, will all patrons of potential new citizens tell their clients to apply to join the ...

Recorded an electric bass track. It has a few low notes where exuberance has created an unwanted pop that was not detected during recording. Is there an editing technique or a filter that will tone these down to an acceptable level? As it is these notes come through badly in the mix. Bass Guitar - A Few Bad Notes ----

Duh. I forgot about cut and paste. Thanks for all the tips. I tried the parametric EQ, but this pop is just too big to really filter out. There are quite a few of the 'good' notes to copy from, so that ends up being my fix. Thanks again for the comments. ----

9mm is a tapered cartridge. Commercial 9mm sizing dies - steel or carbide - should go down far enough when properly adjusted. A tapered cartridge die can't do anything else. It can't go part way down, or it doesn't size the mouth correctly to provide tension on the bullet. A small bulge made by the bullet seated into a pistol case isn't usually a big deal. Run it through a case gauge or ...

1. In large groups of people, Cholesterol levels correlate somewhat with who develops heart disease. However, in a specific individual, it's not a very good predictor. Things like genetics are more important. Docs like to fixate on cholesterol level because they like a number that they can use as a guideline for treatment, rather than something fuzzy like "one of your grandparents died at 68 ...

The Allen Iverson Saga: Just Asking . . . Every relevant player Lionel Hollins has ever coached (i.e., Mike Bibby, Shareef Abdur-Rahim, O.J. Mayo, Rudy Gay, Zach Randolph, etc.) says the same thing: Hollins is a straight shooter who doesn't pull punches. So now Hollins is afraid to and hasn't talked to Allen Iverson? And why is it that no ...
