Hello all, I've got an old 8mm mauser, I think it's a K98k. It's got a pretty short barrel (less than 20 inches I think). I've also got a Hart .308 barrel that's kindof old, but it looks absolutely solid. Do you think it would be better for me to get a new stock and send it to a gunsmith to rebarrel it, or would it be cheaper to go out and buy a Remington 700? I'd really like to ...

I've looked up some places and here's what I've found: 1. Perfect Image Video 2. Sunray Video Productions 3. Costco I can't find any reviews on the film transfers from any of these guys. I recently got an 8mm video camera given to me. It does not have a firewire hook up or a way to hook to a computer at all. I was wondering if there was a way to convert the 8mm tape to a digital video so I can put them on youtube instead of using my crap quality camera phone.

Does anyone know of any local companies that will transfer old 8mm or Super 8 films to a digital format? I can either take burned DVD's or a DVD-ROM with the films in a digital format I can work with (I have Adobe Premiere for editing). Thanks!

First let me fess up. I have a Tascam DA-88 that I bought for parts. Couldnt pass up all those op amps. 24 The passed owner used it and had a problem with the tape load switch. That and he wanted to go 24 bit gave it up. Looking it over, seen I could get it working again. However I didn't intend on using tape. There doesnt seem a way just to use it just as a dac. there has to be a tape in...
