Anyone used this? If it is anything like their 10mm and 45acp ammo, it has to be hot!!!!!!! Just wondering if anyone had an opinion it before I dropped 24 dollars per 20 rounds.

Are the primers hard or soft? I want to try it out with a free floating firing pin saiga and need to make sure the primer is not soft and therefore safe.

I converted this myself. It's really simple. Lacks the HG retainer, and threaded FSB. I've shot maybe 150-200rds through it. Sighted in the red dot and peep at 25yds, so it's good at 25yds and 300yds. At 25yds it shot a 1/2" hole, but I haven't gone out to shoot farther since. Comes with 8 mags, one surefire and 6 tapco mags, plus a 10rd surefire that I cut down to 5rds for hunting(...

Here is the great thing about 7.62x39...it is .30 cal. I don't sweat wound potential at that point. Of course, distance and hunting big things might change that - but then I'm going to 154g soft points. I do find the Vmax bullet interesting though. Great post link. I've always said ammo craps up the accuracy of an AK more than the gun. Try Federal SP's, Fiocchi, Corbon, etc...then ...
