Quickie for someone. I'm trying out 7zip and one thing about it bugs me. If I have a multi-part rar archive file.rar file.r01 file.r02 etc I can only extract the archive by extracting the .rar file. If i pick .r01 for example it succeeds but just gives me a partial file. With winrar i could extract it from any of the files.. Is there a way to force it to treat any part of the archive as the ...

I recently downloaded the most current version of 7-zip (7z907), but when I right click on a file, there is no z-zip menu to choose from. I have tried 3 earlier versions and they have all done the same thing. 7-zip worked great in my old system(Windows XP) but I have a new computer with Vista OS,and I can't get this program to work properly. Is there a registry fix, or have I missed ...

matches81 said: I use 7zip. No issues so far and no annoying popup like the ones WinRAR throws at your face from time to time. You could just install both, use 7zip as your standard program for packed archives and if that runs into issues with a .rar file you could still unpack that using WinRAR. In the end, you'd be mostly doing without "buy me" popups and still be able to unpack pretty ...

Danke Flo!
Das is eigentlich Computer-Grundwissen! MfG, Kevin
