got a 94 s10 blazer. 4.3 vortec with the 4l60e tranny. there is a great buy on a 700r4 tranny with low miles, and i would like to know what i need to swap it out. Did a lil research and found that i need somethen for the lockup in the torque converter. other then that im lost. anyone know what is needed? Thanks, Cliff

I dropped the engine and trans out of my 95 Z28 yesterday, (Spun Bearing), I noticed the infamous no 1-2 shift at full throttle for a week or so before the engine's Oil Pump let go. My car is a 95Z28 with a 4l60e trans and I'm having problems with it not holding third gear unless I'm on the throttle when i let off it drops rpms like its in neutral! Anybody had this problem i know nothing about trannys so I'm in the dark with this one.

Newbie here and need some help. Short story: Bought and 04 LS1 GTO with 45K miles. 3K miles later the A4 tranny let go. 2nd, 4th and rev are out and coolant in the tranny. Ok time far a rebuild. Found a 4l60E from a 98 LS1 Trans Am that had been built slightly and 45k miles on it. Will this tranny work in my GTO? I need somthing just long enough to to the original rebuilt....

I am putting a 5.3 and 4l60e in a 68 3 speed. A budget truck. How has anyone adapted the 4l60e? I would rather not buy an ididit column for 600 bucks. I am open to either adapting the column 3 spd, retrofitting an automatic column shift, or putting in a floor shifter. Does anyone have pics of either? Will the gennie floor shifters clear a stock bench seat?

When I was collecting parts for my transmission rebuild, I ended up with an extra trans pan for a GM 4L60e (and 4L60). It's in good condition; just get a gasket and bolt it on. It's located in zip code 20147. Price is $20, plus s/h. PM me or reply here.

Its a 95 model, wont shift past second when first started up, once in second its stays there. here the thing if you go down the street and park and cut the vehicle off for a couple mins, its shifts fine. I'm pulling my motor out my v6 f-body and wanted to know how many bolts there are cause I was missing two on oneside and got two out the other side if there's more how do I get the rest because I didn't see anymore and I lowered the trans crossmember to see and that didn't help too much this is my first motor to pull any advice?

Automatic Transmission Removal Help Im mid way though a 4L60e Trans Removal with my 00' 2.2L. Ive removed 2 transmissions in cars before but, Im a little puzzled on how to reach the upper Bell housing bolts that connect the Trans to the motor.
