In my 95' T/A A-4, the shift pattern goes 2,3,D,N,R,P. Is there a way to keep it in 1st gear? I believe it has a 4L60E auto tranny, and I know of trucks with this same tranny that have 1st gear in the pattern. Is there just some kind of factory stop that is keeping this from happening? For what its worth I also have the traction control and performance tranny buttons. Thanks.

I went in today to have a front 2 cv driveshaft sized for my SOA 5.7 4l60e late 85 fj60 and a 1/2 ton cv will not fit next to the oil pan. Its close, I'd say within a less than a half of an inch and only for about the first 2 inches of the pan. I'm wondering what others have done in this situation. I see two options. Can a 01 4L60E Tranny Be Used on a 94? I just ran into a 01 Blazer with 53K miles at the junk yard which was a "cash for clunkers car" (geez what a waste the Blazer was PEFECT). swapped 4l60e, now vibrations my original tranny blew. so i bought one off craigslist, the guy said it was remanufactured. it had a painted black torque converter, so i guess he could be correct. i put the newly used one in no problems. then when shifting into a lower gear and the rpms drop down the truck has a vibe. the vibe got so bad i think it loosened up the ...

I just drained my transmission fluid and took off my trans filter and there was 2 small rectangle piece of flat metal about 1/2 inch by 3/4 inch both are exactly the same size inside my trans filter I heard them inside so i shook them out. What the heck are these things. My trans pump broke during installation thats why I am pulling out. Can anybody tell me what this is???
