There is a bug in the Windows Memory Diagnostic utility that prevents it from running correctly on a Toshiba Satellite Pro 4360 Laptop (Intel Mobile Pentium III 700, Intel 440BX chipset, 64MB onboard SDRAM + 2 SODIMM slots). For some reason, this utility tries to test a 16kB block in the upper memory area at 000e8000-000ec000. I have tried in vain to find out what this block is for ...

you may find a 66mhz setting and a 100mhz setting, for ram only, or for both cpu and memory. there was only very few that overclocked, and they were so sensitive, the best of the best stopped young. If it is no settings to find, just install 100mhz ram and know thats all one can do...some got the ata66 drives, after early 1999, late 98, latest revisions...and that needed ...

elmer did a great job on the 440bx chipset, the past glory days of INTC... I think it's silly when all of the Intel related AMD bashers justify their participation by equating their activities with the activities of all of the AMD related posters. Problem is, there aren't any posters on the AMD payroll that we know of. Looking at the INTC message board, there are no reasons to invest in ...

ecc compatible is the MCH chip, cpu could care less, altho it may have to be asked to work a bit more. My first was a p2 350 in a bizarre mobo with a unique 440bx variant, ECC capable. The machine I am in now is an 875pbz, prescott cpu, also ECC capable, and it show up synonymous with a server 75** chipset. intel does not need xeon for ECC, it is the memory controller hub, you can install non-...

If you spend all your time upgrading, you won't have time or money to really use what you have, and you'd be surprised what even older hardware than this can do. But if you must upgrade... > I would look for one with ...
