Hi all, I just have a simple questions for anyone who drivers or has driven a 320i. I know the 4 cylinder engine is said to be underpowered. I read a few reviews where people said its pretty good for a 4. But when I drove one a year ago I thought it was very much underpowered myself. I have a simple question. Is there a 'power button' one can push on the BMW? I own a Holden Caprice and I...

Hello guys, I recently bought an '06 STi from a dealership. Bought the "Classic" extended warranty (thank GOD!). I was having a hesitation problem and only getting half boost out of the car intermittently. I was also getting absolutely HORRIBLE gas mileage (14 MPG regular without even hitting boost). I finally got a check engine light that came on and shut my car down but disappeared after I...

Hey everybody, my family and i are from central California but currently stationed at Ellsworth AFB, South Dakota. We bought our 1989 4 cylinder about a month ago for $900 dollars. It runs pretty good but we are looking to add either a turbo 4 cylinder or a 5.0 within the next six month. Officially its my wifes car (title is in her name) but it is our dream car we hope to make it everything we ...

So I've got a Holden Astra. I was thinking of trading it in for another car, but I've now decided to keep it and maybe do it up a bit. Now I'm just stuck on what to do and where to start. I'd like to give it a bit more grunt, even though my dad is lecturing me saying it's got enough already. It doesn't. What can I do to a 4 cylinder that won't cost the moon, but will make a noticable difference...

...with enough modification? It is a 2002 engine and its an automatic rear-wheel drive. A guy said that he thinks he can do it but I'm worried about the ECU. What modifications would need to be done to make this swap possible? How much would it cost? (I got the engine for free and i got the motor mounts).

I recently purchased a 06 Fusion with the 4 cylinder engine (60,00 miles) love the car, hate the noisy engine at start up or first moving, it's a deep rattle noise maybe from the intake somewhere, is this common with this engine? The noise kind of reminds me of a jake brake noise on a truck! Is this a problem or just a noise to live with? I drove a 07 model it was noisy too, not quite as loud as...

I'm having a very occasional cylinder 2 and 4 misfire. By very occasional, I mean twice over three months. It happened the first time in August, the day I replaced my fuel pump, and for the second time today, on a cold start (though it was not a particularly cold day). Each time, once I cleared the codes, they didn't come back. Today when I cold started, there was a jumpy idle and a ...

Quote: Today, Hyundai showed off its latest engine, the Theta II, a 2.4-liter, direct-injection four-cylinder with variable valve timing destined for the 2011 Hyundai Sonata and 2010 Hyundai Tucson. Impressively, they also showed us the guts of a beat-to-hell test unit. Quote: The Theta II 2.4 GDI is, unsurprisingly...
