I put the plugin in the plugins folder, and when I start the program it gives an error. I also have 3ds max 7 and it works fine with it, but I would like to use 2010 (obviously). So is there a way to make it work - OR - is there another exporter i could use that works with 2010?

i am making films in 3DS MAX 8 and ive got my first scene all ready and waiting to go, but i cant figure out how to render an animation without having to use make preview which is very low quality and doesnt render all the effects ive used. i.e - Mental ray, lights, Material reflections and shadow that sort of stuff, d'ya get me? can anyone help? thanks
