So I've got a 383 stroker laying around in the garage and the 5.3l deal I had lined up fell through so I'm wondering about fuel injecting the thing and running it. I know there is a limit for how much a tbi can support, mostly due to flow and injectors from what I read, so I'm wondering what I'd have to do to my motor to make it work with tbi. motor: edelbrock performer rpm heads...

I wouldn't like this to become another pissing match about FI vs carb. Rather than that, I'd like to hear your opinion in which way would you go if you were in my situation. So, without too much details, engine will be 383, Callies crank, Carillo rods, JE or Mahle pistons, AFR 210's, with ~7500 redline. Behind it will be full manual converted 700r4 with 2800 stall and 3.73 ...

I am really thinking about selling my whole build setup. I was building a lt1 383 for a supercharger. The only thing about it is that what i have is not put together yet. The block is fresh from the machine shop, where it was cleaned, lined bored and honed, cylinders bored to .030 over, new cam bushings installed, clearanced for the stroker crank, new freeze plugs, and painted black, and checked ...

Trying to build my first engine, and taking on a 383. Used pictures as reference to save myself some cash and ground the rods myself. Have a second set if I screwed up, but hopefully someone can tell me from my pictures if I've ground too much or not enough or what. Still going to get it balanced, in case that makes a difference. Thanks for any help.

Only people who are serious about the truck respond. I am not sure yet how much he is wants for it but I will post the asking price when I hear more from him.

There was some milling on top of the head (where the stud screws in) to allow for guideplates. The rockers are Lunati Voodoo roller rockers 1...

I have a 79 Chev Bonanza with a 383 Stroker that currently has the conventional belt system. A few friends have suggested that I upgrade to a serpentine belt drive which are about 7 to $800 through jegs. Is this upgrade worth the cost? What do I stand to benefit from this? Thanks for any help.
