my 2010 wrx when i shut it off makes a ticking noise, i think it might be the turbo spooling down but it should not make this sound. Any help before i take it to the dealer?

I just purchased a Toyota 4x4 PU with 214k miles on a 22RE motor. Previous owner had the head replaced 2k miles ago with a new one . He also had the timing belt , radiator , water pump , thermostat and coolant replaced. Im wondering though , the invoice from the shop that did the repairs says to have the valves adjusted after the 1st 1000 miles. Is this necessary?

this is my 2000 gts, 6 speed, 105,xxx miles, everything is stock, serviced only at toyota, runs awesome. VIS invader hood. this is the cleanest 2000 gts around, it looks like it just rolled out of toyota. I love my car and I hate to sell it but I need a supra.
