Just been checking my Garmin stats. I have currently run 899 miles so far in 2009. The way I see it, one last big push in December and I should easily manage to break 1000 miles in a year. A new record for me by some 250 odd miles. Anyone else pushing for a similar record?

parting out a wrecked o 2005 rmk 800 rmk. the major damage is to the tunnel, bulkhead and center front end. all suspension components, front and rear are in perfect shape. motor ran great b4 crash with 1000 miles on it but needs a new power valve. seat, bars, controls, track, chaincase, and drive components are all salvageballe. id like to get at least 1000 ...

daddi: it was rusty but not that much.. I had cars with much worse sway bar and they didn't clunk on potholes.. though at the moment it's probably the only explanation :/

You can use 5w30, but recommended weight is xW40 or higher. I'm running 5w40 Shell Rotella T synthetic. Just so long that it isn't Mobil 1 5w30, because apparently it's too thin for what it is. You need 7 quarts for an S52. I usually do 7.5.

I just got ANOTHER one. This engine has 3400 miles on it, and it is directly out of the bike. It is a complete long block but DOES NOT include ecu, harness, throttle bodies, etc. It has a broken clutch cover, but I am installing a new one and flushing the engine out before it ships. This one is going to be $2000 shipped, or $1800 if you pick it up in Houston. The price is firm on this one ...
