I am trying to open a file with the extension .3GP, It gave me the error listed above. I downloaded " MPEG-4 Video (mp4v) codec", and verified that it is installed via the tech support info found in the help menu. The video still will not play. Please help!! 1 person needs an answer I do too

Is there any way to make fake input or decoder smarter? I'm writing fake input to file using mp4v encoder and it's size is too large. What I really need is just to record one picture (I even do not change it during recording). Ideally I want one frame to be recorded with some duration. Can I achieve it using VLC? For now I see only one possibility to reduce file size - to play with mp4v encoder ...

hi all i am looking into receiving mpeg4 over rtp and have found codecs that have formats: in: MP4V/RTP out: MP4V in: MP4V out: RGB how do i chain these two together? is it supposed to happen automatically in javax.media.Manager when i do '.createPlayer'? thanks! best regards, aksel

I've just realised that Windows 7 is making tough work of getting information out of my connected graphs. The main problem videos are MP4v encoded. The graphs connect fine, but the the VIDEOINFOHEADER is full of zeros and get_FrameRate on an IMediaDet object returns an error. I am using VLC media player version 1.0.3 for Windows Vista and Linux Kubuntu 9.10.
