I bought a Savage laminate/stainless varmint stock, heavy barrel 22-250 last year about this time. I put a cheap Bushnell scope on it and hated it. A few months ago, I put a new Leupold 4-12x40 on it and I started shooting it quite a bit more. I have been dying to shoot a super tight group with it and I finally got one today. Today I was switching brands/bullet size around and shooting...

22-250 Opinions? Which gun would be the better for target shooting and the occasional varmites, such as fisher cats? I'm looking at a savage 12fv and a tikka t3 lite both in a .22-250. I've been looking for the right price and these two fall in the range I want to spend. Would a .22-250 be a good caliber to go with? BTW ...

My Uncle and I used to compete; my .223 single shot H&R heavy barrel v. his 22-250 on Rem. 700. Out to 400m we were even. 500-700m he'd win every time. Fun calibers to shoot out of any weapon I believe. Either way you'll be grinnin.

BerksCountyDave, There are alot of 22-250's out there that a great shooters. I've owned a few. My first really good shooter was the Ruger Model 77 Mark II in 22-250, I lost count of how many Groundhogs I removed with that rifle. most shoots were out past 300 yards, under 200 was to easy. Great rifle. after many fun years with that I added the Winchester Coyote in 22-250 that also is a great ...

Quote: First, why would anyone buy a .22-250 and then load subsonic rounds to use a suppressor? I can tell you why a person would buy a 308 Winchester then use it to shoot subsonic ammo. Versatility. If you have a 1-10 twist in your 308, then it will perform well with any bullet that is 200 grains and lighter even subsonic. 1-8 twist is ...

Hi Leann, Chris, Jenny, Cait and ATF, It's me...back from the land of...well, I really don't know. I'm actually doing really well but continuing to find my "working" lifestyle. I work 6:30 - 3:30, go directly to the gym and am there from 4-5:30 or 6. By the time I get home and get set up for the next day, it's time for bed again. If I'm lucky I ...

Amy~ Can you send some of that snow our way?! The ski area opened Saturday, but all of the snow on the mountain is manmade! No miles to report today. As I was gearing up to go for another 4 mile run, DD pronounced that she was going to be sick...and she was! She found the stomach bug that we've been hiding from for the past few weeks. Hoping I ...
