Getting this thread up again, there is more and more demand for this!

Competitors may wear a belt. If worn, it shall be on the outside of the lifting suit.

hey is there someone sorted to make these? i spoke with veganwares and they said they could probably make them they just need to see the real thing to get a feel for it (which i'm trying to get my hands on). _________________ www.liberationphotography.org
littlegirlbunny has been emailing some companies (i wish she would post these herself, but anyway):
- vegetarian shoes do not want to reveal their material source and are not very helpful
- the american belt company are still keen and have looked into some material, but do not know any good ones.
Whats next? This is becoming more and more urgent i think with more people entering ...
I am *really* desperate because of my upcoming comp in 5 weeks and my belt will certainly not be approved. Will probably have to beg someoneon Sugden forum to lend me their animal one...
On Sugden someone suggested using a kind of rubbery gym matting material that could be cut to the standards approved by IPF and buying a clip off of somewhere like Pullums and getting it welded on....
I'm guessing The American Belt Company is based here in the states? For material, I know veganerotica.com sells their fake leather material in bulk. That could be one option. Are you the one in contact with them JP? I could maybe send them an email with the link if you'll PM it to me.
Hmm, this place might be worth trying for material, or supplier of it http://www.sporran-nation.co.uk/bespoke_sporrans.h tml
Or Freerangers? http://www.freerangers.co.uk/ourproducts_bespoke.h tm
Of course, I could do this myself, but belts are disco If it comes off I'll still buy one though _________________

Hi Centinal Maybe I have written there qoute in a little misleading way there was a full stop between 'unacceptable' and the sentence beginning 'Rubber/foam'. And they were answers to separate questions. Firstly we asked about using a secondary material not only for a fully synthetic belt but as an alternative to the seude finish you often see. Secondly we asked should we find a product of either rubber or foam that was...
Actually JP he sounds very old. Have you ever seen a leather bench? He has no idea what a vegan is or how many of us there are. He seems fixated on vinyl. I can't think of anywhere suitable vinyl could be sourced. He seems to think i can cobble one from an existing belt but the velcro and rollar buckle belts he is thinking of are not made of vinyl. My York belt is made of a coated plastisote foam which is technically two different...

That's excellent Fruity, cheers _________________ lolfail (lol-fehl): noun 1.
