Thread: which ohm subwoofer??????

need some help on what ohm speaker to get. i am thinking of getting a fosgate p3 dual voice coil shallow subwoofer. i have a fosgate 800.2 amp. the subwoofer cant handle the full power of the amp so i thought i might go for the least amount of THD. these would be the 2 options: 200wattsx2 at 4ohm load (thd less than .05) 400wattsx2 at 2ohm load (thd less than .1, but too much power)...

Dp are great subs. Very loud. I've never done a direct swap but yea the play the lows better then the btls.

Odds are its in the .2 cube range. I highly doubt being off by .1 cubes is going to drastically alter the performance of your enclosure or be noticeable by the end user. Just for reference, a 9515G displaces .23 cubes.

Don't even waste your time with it. Think about how resistors work with current and you'll realize that it's just not feasible.
