I'm helping one of my co-workers gain weight and she seems to have trouble doing so. She claims she eats a lot but I never see her do on my 8 hour shift. The days I do see her eat, its usually a standard sized meal (est: 800 cals) and she doesn't finish it most of the time. That's when I come in and eat the remains but that's not the point. Have her keep a journal of what she eats for a week, then go over it with her so she can see that no, she's not eating much. Hopefully that will convince her to eat more and not waste money on weight-gainer products.

Most weight gainer shakes are not going to get her where she wants to be. Whole foods are definitely the solution, and then if she would like she can add protein shakes. Bodyweight is directly correlated with the number of calories that you consume. Fat is 9 calories per gram while carbohydrates and protein are 4 calories per gram, so adding foods with heathly fats is an easy way to build ...
