Thread: water/methanol injection

Started 1 year, 4 months ago by 7FOUR7
G'day lads, I posted this in the members section but didn't get much feedback so I thaught I'd try here Is anyone running any type of water/meth or just water injection? Whats your setup? Found this site the other night, I'm going to run the bad boy kit in the vl for 25psi pump fuel tunes http://www.snowperformance.net What do you all think?

Methanol is where it's at. I can't belive alot of other people don't acutaly use it. I run a a real backyard setup on my vl, it makes 366rwkw on pump fuel/methanol on 24 psi on a n/a bottom end.

I stumbled across this, might be some interesting reading for anyone considering water injection http://www.streetcommodores.com/imag...102%20POWR. pdf

Whats your point in using it? To run more boost, timing etc on the street and get more out of it or simply as a safety margin type of thing?

calais25t replied 1 year, 4 months ago
rob or 0bt100 uses it as well.

Primarily I want to run around 25psi on pump fuel, I know it can be done without the meth/water but I'd just feel a bit better having it as assurance. So a bit...

Quote: running over 50% meth:water mix will deteriorate your lines, similar to running meth in your fuel lines Deteriorate what lines ??? Yeh sounds like a load of crap to me man.... you've been reading someone elses regurgitated shi.t on here or something.. The water injection is activated by a hobbs pressure switch on the plenum, when u reach a set boost pressure it triggers the solenoid which lets water pass thru to the atomiser.. its...

i can't answer that as i did have problems and i can't remember what it was, from memory something in the setup on the handset had to be changed, the computer didn't have to be sent back though. cheers darren __________________ adelaide..home of the worlds most useless ninjas and chuck norris world renowed tuner

I fill up before i go for a cruise, so 3/4 full. When i come back depending on how hard the car gets driven its 1/4-1/2 full. That's about 200k's worth of driving.
