ok the bexst info I can get on etka is , the g60 and 2l16v starters had 1.1KW starters, the vr6 had 1.8 KW and the tdi MK4 had 1.9KW. I ask this because I have a good vr6 starter and a spare 02a 4 cyl starter, want hte fast cranking power for the 16v, Q1 will this bolt and go (internals)???? Q2 can the "competent" do it yourself-er do this????? 87 rocco with 2L16v running on motronic...

All the 02A starters will fit on 02A gearboxes. I am running a TDI starter on my 20v 2.0L because the compression I am running burnt out 2 gas starters. The TDI starter and VR6 starter also bolt on. I have a vr6 starter, the spacing of hte 2 holes that bolt it to the case are spaced different, 87 rocco with 2L16v running on motronic 2.9 with 02a with 02j peloquin with 4.24 manually adjusting cable lsd installed in trans now to swap trannies http://profile.myspace.com/ind...58279
