what cam? compression?
good base line would be... 8 initial... then 36 total and like 2800ish.

i did a vortec 350 swap with carb in my blazer and i need to know what the timing needs to be set at?

its just a stock 96 5.7 that i put in with a carb conversion but the computer controlled the timing and im not running the computer and its in a 76 k5 2wd. holley carb, accel dist, msd 8mm wires,wieand intake. thats all i can think of off my head at the moment

If I remember correctly, the Vortec heads like a little less total timing. Start at about 32 total by 2800-3000
