Thread: volvo 700 or 900's use kickdown switch?

Swapping motors in my '89 wagon and keeping auto trans since it's my daily driver. Trans from donor requires a kickdown switch vs the cable, any of this body style car use one? Looking in alldata shows the 960 using one which also uses a similar trans but I don't know if it's pedal based or off the throttle due to the lack of specifics. Alldata vagueness makes me want to murder myself quite ...

Motor from supra going in. My question is if the 960's kickdown switch is on the pedal or throttle based. Or if any other 700-900 chassis uses a switch at pedal. Thanks.

The 960 should as it has the same gearbox as the supra.

It's mounted at firewall with the cable in case anyone ever needs to know.
