I think it's possible if both players have their own accounts.

hey guys ive had a question for a while. why can only player one talk via hadset when playing online? id also like to know if down the line this problem could be fixed with a patch. thanks for the help

o well thats cool...still wanna know why to people cant talk on one account. and on an unrelated note, does the PSN suffer from the same limitations?

Increase mic sensitivity and then choose to output sound from tv speakers that way you can use your headset as like a speaker phone.
