Thread: so i'm re-reading a scifi novel that i loved when i was a kid

but now i'm finding kind of annoying. some people really suck at dialogue and one of those people is arthur c. clarke or gentry lee. either/or, it doesn't matter. all i know is that rama revealed is losing it's appeal to me every time a character talks.
also, why are their guesses never fucking wrong? c'mon! that's annoying! everyone is fucking wrong every once in awhile! everyone!

In 2002 I had the extreme misfortune of witnessing a very drunk, very senior executive at the company I worked for make an incredibly stupid sexual proposition to a woman who worked for me.
She was going to be terminated for excessive absenteeism but used this encounter to basically blackmail the company into staying employed.
The company did fire the senior exec, which sorta surprised ...
