Thread: reset R1100S clock?

Started 1 month, 1 week ago by hayabusafiend
How do I reset the R1100S clock? I installed a Battery Tender trickle harness last night and forgot to reset the clock when I had the manuals nearby. I've tried all the button pushing, but haven't figured out the magic to setting the clock. Google is no help and the manuals are at home.

From memory you hold the button in until it starts to flash, then adjust, move on to the next and do the same.

reverse the polarity of the battery for as long as you need to get the time back to normal.

the key has to be on then use a small pin to change the hour or minutes via the small buttons below the clock

Just pretend like you're in a different time zone.

Heed the words of Shreddr. Last week-end I poked through the rubber. Hey, did I just say that?

Use a hexhead wrench and quit poking around. You don't want any fluids getting on the other side of the rubber. If you do make a mistake and burst through the rubber, use a little RTV to repair the perforation.

I didn't realize just how far I had to push (I used my sunglass eartip). IMHO, the switch is *way* too deep. As for the bad advice, I recognized it as such. The 'reverse the battery polarity' is an extremely poor choice for a joke. The upside is now I know who to ignore.
