Thread: rFactor 1.255 - Graphic Artifact issues/flickering

Small update for anyone else having trouble with artifacts. Seems the newest nVidia drivers are the problem. I had the same issue on my new rig I built with an 8800 card. To get around the problem I had to install a previous drivers which I found on the nVidia ftp site as the main website doesn't list them. You need to use an ftp client and browse to download.nvidia.com and then scroll down the list to find the current version you have....

It's been discussed a fair bit, I myself searched for a solution to this a while back. You have to modify your *.cam files. In the line pertaining to your used view (for me it's Cockpit) in the line with "ClipPlanes" set the value to .205000 or thereabouts. i had exactly the same problem in GP4 all those years back, it drove me nuts, unable to select any buttons in the GUI. now i would start again, make a fresh copy of rFactor, uninstall your graphics driver (from windows control panel, or using a driver cleaner util), install the latest DX9c (November 2007 has just been released) install your 7950 with the latest driver let us know how you get on
