Sometimes the C&P examiners also have a backlog just like the regional offices do.
Also, keep in mind that the release of mental health records/exams to the patient isn't a given as is with a normal medical exam. Psychiatric records are
released to the patient on a case by case basis depending on whether the examining doctor feels the patient can handle what it written.

Welcome to one of the slowest moving machines that you will come to know, commonly called the VA.
That being said, one suggestion that I would make to you is to request a copy of your C-file from the VARO. This will show you everything that the RO is
looking at. Take the time to organize it, and make sure that all of your progress notes from your doctors visits are in there ...
A reexamination is scheduled by the rater at VA based on what they see in your records as far as the possibility of improvement. It's a judgment call on
their part. Reexaminations can be scheduled anywhere from 6 months to five years after the initial rating.
The VA isn't trying to take your compensation away, they are simply trying to assign the correct evaluation based on the symptoms.

OK... I can't find the definition... What is QTC mean?
QTC doesn't have a "definition" as it's just the name of a private company that contracts to do medical examinations for government agencies.
The initials QTC stand for Q uality, T imeliness, and C ustomer Service; which is how they promote the
company.

Folks,
While this decision will not effect my current status, it does my heart good to know that the VA cannot just make blanket judgements. In May 2006, I was denied
service connection for bilateral hearing loss. My VSO appealed and in December 2008, the appeal was denied. I appealed to US Court of Appeals for veterans
claims. In July the court vacated the denial and awarded me service ...
Way to go Piper!
I am at the appeal now for mine and had my first denial in 1984. Tired to reopen claim in 2007 and was denied in 2008 Since then I have filed a form 9 to the
BVA and am waiting inline. In the mean time I have just recently got a very favorable letter from a doc and am hoping this will reopen my claim!
Well remands are supposed to be expedited. How long have you been at BVA? Remand is just another function that we have to through, when the BVA feels the RO screwed up. You could me right though if mine ever gets that far I would get the feeling that my chances would be 60-40 or 70-30. Good luck on your claim!

Someone else can answer way better than I can since they know how to do the figuring. BUT, what it comes down to is 10% is not added onto 40% to equal 50. Instead their math takes an amount and then somehow takes the next percentage and figures from that amount. After all the figuring is done, the amount is then rounded up or rounded down to the next 00 percentage. If you had had a total of 44 it would round down to 40 or a total of 46 rounded...
I have a feeling that the VSO is more involved in this postponement than he/she is letting on as DRO's don't generally postpone hearings. About the only reason that a DRO would initiate such an action is if he knew that he was going to be out of the office that day (and even then it usually gets reassigned to another DRO) or he felt reasonably certain that he could develop additional evidence to grant the claim without a hearing, but...
You were service connected and the hearing loss you have is non-compensable. You need to use these VA hearing loss rating schedule . You have to have a severe loss of hearing to rate a percentage greater than 0%. Your numbers look like level II which is 0% and if in the future your hearing gets worse, you can be re-evaluated.

Here is my question I have had 3 claims in the works for quite a long time now. 1) PTSD 2) Knee and Back Injury 3) TBI, Depression and Anxiety I just got awarded 70% for TBI but was denied service connection for depression and anxiety. Should I request a DRO for the depression and anxiety or just leave it alone and accept my TBI rating?...
