hi im looking into buying the powertrax no slip locker for my 1998 tacoma. i was just wondering if anyone has used on of these and there opion or if there is already a thread a about them if you could direct me in that direction. im basically wondering how long they they last if they break often or if there is a similar but better product. im also making sure that my truck ...

I got one in my 91, and I tell ya what.... It was the best investment I have made to this rig, hands down! I have been super rough on it, I use my rig as a skidder at my woodlot, and have had 0 problems with the locker. I prolly have about 25k miles on it, most of which is highway. Do some searching, there are endless threads on the subject here on yt.

What do you want to do with the truck? An LSD unit can leave you with one wheel spinning if its in the air, of course you can brake drag but that can be touchy. personally for your set up I'd look for an e-locker. If your still running stock gears it you'll save on setup mitigating the price difference. I don't know if anything needs to be done to your axle housing as I'm a 1st gen guy. You...
