Started 1 month, 3 weeks ago by mandah86
is your lo potty trained during the night and naps? im still working with my lo on daytime potty training but i keep going back to pull ups because if we go somewhere it's hard to drop everything with my 3 month old to run to the bathroom with dd, plus i hate taking the carseat out so if she pees in the car i know im going to be doing that. how do you handle outings? plus, nap time she wears ...

Dylan does undies all day and diapers at naptime and bedtime. He always wakes up dry lately. I am thinking he is ready for undies all of the time. My 4 year old still does a pull up at night because he just won't wake up to go to the potty. Every kid is different. I say keep doing undies during the day and use a diaper at naptime and bedtime if needed. I think once you at least get the ...

We went straight to underwear in June (for outings too) for daytime.  But, he still wears a pull up for nap/night time.  We call them "naptime/nightime undies."  Like your lo, he has a full pull up when he wakes up in the am, and he's still in a crib, so he wouldn't be able to take himself to the bathroom at night.  Usually, he's still dry at naptime.  I really don't have any suggestions about ...

Luke wears a diaper at night.  He is no way ready to pt at night - could care less - does NOT wake to potty.  But we are getting close to trying undies - he has been dry the last few mornings. I agree that pull-ups are just a glorifed (and more expensive) diaper.  Everyone goes potty before leaving the house, taking a nap, and bedtime.  Yes- we still have to frequent a restroom at times - ...

I personally believe they have a crutch in pull ups but you have to do what works for you.  We went directly to underwear and did not look back day or night.  At first it is hard I will not lie but now 3 months later it is not an issue at all.

Just my opinion but I think pull-ups keep them from getting trained. I trained my son at 23 months and the day I took the diapers (never used pull-ups) away I never gave them back...NEVER (not even at naps/nights). In the beginning you have to take them all the time. It took about 2 months before he started telling me he had to go. The nights were harder. He was doing really bad. I was doing ...

one of my sons is the very stubborn type. if i want him to do it he will try his best not to or make it hard lol. and that was no different for potty training. the best advice i can give for a child like mine if yours is.. let them lead you. my son i tried and tried to put in underwear and kept reminding him about the potty and seeing if he ad to pee. and regardless my efforts he just ...

Sleep training is biological. They either wake up or don't. Its something that they have no control over, so its a battle that can't be won. DD wears a pull-up at night time. Some morning she wakes up wet and others she's dry. For outings, I would put a pull up OVER her undies. That way, she didn't feel like she was wearing a diaper but there wouldn't be a mess if she had an accident. Now ...

I would love to hear from some one Who has it down. My daughter goes to potty and never has an accident during the day but at night... she is in pull up and its not dry most of the time. I dont really want to get up at night and especially wake her up...

I've got the opposite problem. My son will wake me up in the middle of the night if he has to go pee but the rest of the day he pee's a poops in diapers/underwear what ever he is wearing. I just don't get it.

We stopped wearing diapers other than some naps and all nights in May. She used to ask for them but I didn't let her wear them. They are only for sleeping.  We used to take her potty with us when we were first training her.  I have heard people say they put underwear under the diaper/pull up so they now what it feels like to be wet.  I never tried it just stopped using them.  I have a 14 month ...
