Smooth idle smooth acceleration, fresh oil clean air filter so i dont think it need a tune up could be wrong

that is not normal.. you have something wrong somewhere. try cleaning the MAF, check the O2's, check fuel filter, check plugs, do you have a heavy foot?

What should i see on a full tank

crownvic97 replied 1 month, 1 week ago
I dont know the year of your car(Put it in your sig ) Yous should be seeing almost 300mi per tank, maybe more depending on type of driving

I get 15-21 mpg just depending on how I drive.

VicRider102 replied 1 month, 1 week ago
would the 04 have better mileage

crownvic97 replied 1 month, 1 week ago
There is something very wrong with your car, you should fix the problem before you consider selling it to someone else...The main difference will be the 04 actually functioning correctly.

VicRider102 replied 1 month, 1 week ago
I should fix it i just bought the car less than 3mnths ago im goin to trade it 2 the dealer who sold it 2 me like that for the 04

you can not get an accurate number unless you do it the way I posted...full tank, drive, fill her up, divide miles used by gallons needed to fill again!

yup. to reset your pcm yank your negative battery cable for a good 20 minutes and reconnect it.

Make sure you reset the PCM if you haven't already after cleaning your MAF.

i average between 17-19mpgs on 90% highway travels. and since i know i have to make my gas last me as long as possible, i stay from getting into it as much as possible. Id check your o2 sensors like mentioned, tire pressure, weight, try taking everything not needed in the car out. im sure you get the idea.

it is going to depend on your driving. if the only driving you do is short trips in heavy traffic with lots of idling is going to be bad no matter what you drive.

So far I've gotten around 240 to a tank because I've had the car for 3 days, and I've been playing with it, and seeing what it's like before I start driving it seriously for mileage. I'm guessing I'll do half way decent though. I'm not complaining about the car either, because the daily driver before got 6-10.
