Thread: over under on Mick Vick being a Cleveland Brown next year?
Started 1 month, 3 weeks ago by evilsteve02
i am going 75 percent..i mean other than the Browns only Carolina or the Rams will need a QB next year. I woudl say if it was between the Browns and Carolina..he will pick carolina, but they seem really loyal to Jake for some reason (the huge cash they gave him)....so that is my take

They're going to need to show a bit more of him in order to get something worthwhile in return.
From what I've seen the guy looks slow and still can't read a defense. Wouldn't you be better off drafting an athetic QB out of college who doesn't have the baggage and still has legs?
well seeing as how we was out of football for over 2 years...i expected that. He will get his legs back and i dunno if you have seen our QB's in cleveland...but he is 100% better than any of the guys we have now. The last thing the Browns need it to draft another QB...we need to get guys who are established.

Vick really isn't trouble anymore...he knew what he did wrong. I mean the guy hasn't been a problem for quite a while now. I could see him playing here ...

This. The raiders will make an absurd trade, get vick, and still be terrible....it's the raider way.

noway...they have russell...trust me they are sticking with that guy. And they should...they just need someone to teach him how to study film and work hard. He is lazy. Garcia saw it, ...

This... Gotta show a product if you wanna sell it for a good price.
i never said to build the franchise around him. He is the type of QB that can help the Browns out for a few years. Mobile, has an established history...i am sick of going with a bunch of maybe's ...all the Quinns and Andersons make me sick.

Like someone else, mentioned, he's losing speed as he's aging, which is his most important asset. He was never a great passer. I guess going to the Dolphins does make sense, though, because they base their offense on the wildcat.

If he can actually get some solid playtime, and prove he's still got what it takes then yeah, I'd consider him a starting caliber QB. At this point he's been nothing but a gimmick. In preseason he showed some promise by sitting in the pocket weighing his options...

Plus Vick would probably fit in with the Oakland culture pretty well.
