opinions on walther p99 and hk p30L Hey all, I just got back from the local store and took a look at the walther p99 and the h&k p30L, both in 9mm. I really liked the way both of them feel and possibly the HK more. Although I did like the trigger pull on the p99 better. the hk seemed a lot harder and longer, would that lighten up ...

I have a P99 and P99c - both in A/S. And, I have shot a P30L. Both guns are very accurate. I find the P99's trigger to be better. I have 3 other HK'S - the triggers do not get any lighter over time. You will see future responses that say to get 1 or the other. And, some stories of why one sucks or the other sucks. This comes up by some people in any comparison ...

I'll echo Shipwreck's advice. The Walther is nice, I owned one (no particular reason why I got rid of it). As for the P30L, I simply love the P30 line. Top notch ergos and great accuracy. By the one that YOU like, not what we like. __________________ 3rd BN 8th Marines, 1988-1994 "Fortune Favors the Strong"

Which one i like I realize that I am the one to make the decision, and that I need the one that I am more comfortable with. Which is why I ask for opinions and experiences. That way I might be swayed one way or the other due to the fact I can't make up my mind. Thanks thus far.

I like that the P99 has user changable sights - you can adjust and replace the sights with night sights - and you need not use a gunsmith. The gun is also very accurate too. The P99 is one of my fav handguns of all time

Can't speak for the HK, however I purchased a P99 about two months ago and I really like it. The grip is better than any other gun I've picked up and it runs flawlessly! Wish I could find a small carry gun with this kind of feel.

Shipwreck Do you know how the 99c compares to the PPS? I picked one up (PPS) at Gander Mountain and was not impressed. Same with the Ruger SR9. My P99AS seems to have a different grip than the 99c.
