Thread: on suboxone for over two years

I have been on since jan 07 and started at 16mil.a day and have weened myself down to 1 mil aday. I am on the 2.2 tabs but just break them in half.. My doc also wants to keep me on them for pain managemant for a broken back but i am slowely taking myself off.

I have been on suboxone for one year and have recently tried getting off of it. It is a nightmare to kick. Not only that, after kicking, I swear pain medications are ineffective. I had teeth pulled and required Vicodin. I couldn't feel the effects at all and remained in a lot of pain. This terrifies me. What if I have to have an operation or something. I don't think opiates effect me at all anymore. Is there anyone out there with...

I've been on suboxone for over two years, 16mg per day, I want to get off the meds. What do I do and how do I do it? My doctor wants to keep me on it, I've had no other substance abuse since I started the suboxone. Will I need to go to a detox center to get off this drug?
