Thread: ok, probably silly coppermine issue

Hi I'm trying to get coppermine to work on my website. I've got it installed ok, after an initial problem with folder permissions I'm not longer getting an "you need to set folder permissions to 757 or 777" (I think was the message), when I try and batch add pics i've already uploaded via FTP (they are in a folder in the coppermind albums directory). Long shot, but my experience with Coppermine from a long time. I know most of this you will have covered, but best to start from the start. * Is your PC turned on... (only joking) Coppermine is a bit of a @@@@@ system, you have probably checked your file permissions a few times trying to get it to work, I'd start with re-setting them. Permissions on the /albums, /albums/userpics, ...

Thanks I've tried resetting the file permissions from the sites control panel/file manager, it looks like coppermine will only allow bulk importing from a folder inside it's own directory, so permissions are the ssame. none of the images or folders have any capitalisation, and it doesn't look like any of the file names would be affected by the reserved file names. in debug mode ...
