thanks - I don't think they wanted to access tech support tbh though Does this newsgroup strictly support VM kit, or do they provide general technical support as well?

VM issues only. You can get support and advice from other users on other groups though.

I used to be able to get really old (>= 100days old posts) from the Virginmedia news server but recently nothing older than 7 days downloads. I also used to get the incomplete downloads issue (which is on another thread,) even though the server showed a complete post. Are these issues likely to have been linked?
