Thread: netgear wireless router is confused

resetup netgear wireless router. In administration, I wanted to change the name of the network and apply a password I chose. In WEP, it offered up to 5 passkeys. But only the Mac would see and log on. Two Windows XP, (one home, one pro) would not acquire IP address, both said signal strong. I removed all security, and no problem with any of the machines.. WAP seurity (two of them) ...

Some old wireless devices can't do WPA but sometimes a newer driver fixes this. As well, if you're using the manufacturer's software, try using Windows wireless instead.

I've Been busy.. HP zd5000 laptop Netgear b/g wireless router. WPA2, tried the other encryptions. Solved Found that HP had the SP3 download but not installed, it was still on SP1...

I've Been busy.. HP zd5000 laptop Netgear b/g wireless router. WPA2, tried the other encryptions. Solved Found that HP had the SP3 download but not installed, it was still on SP1...
