Nancy, my SIL is a lawyer and I could ask if you like....but I also know that Meredith (ourherione) is also a lawyer. I have no idea...sounds wrong to me....but don't know about the legality of it!!

Do you have statewide daycare certification? I don't know about the legality...but I do know that if they gave out personal information to attempt to collect on moneys that were NOT owed to them then I would report them to a local licensing agency ( we have PATCH out here in Hawaii)

I just want to say good on you for listening to your gut and getting your kids out of there! They should be worried about your suing them for not addressing an obvious problem. Chances are this wasn't the first time the person did something inappropriate.

I would think that if you detail your story like the first one, the next attorney might also bow out. I don't know the law for your state, however, I do think that when something criminal (child pedofile) crosses into a civil situation, the rules can change and change fast to be in favor of the party who opted to make sure the child was being protected.
