Thread: move to plus from maaf please? :: PlusNet plc :: think broadband

Started 1 month, 2 weeks ago by james26
Hi All, I posted yesterday in the MAAF forum. I am starting to feel MAAF 50gb is not enough for me and a move to big brother plus.net may be order. I would have been with MAAF 2 years in Jan 2010. The package i would like to move to is Plusnet Premium with Talk Anytime and Caller ID. 1. I don't want any hassle and need to move to stress free - can this be done? eg no days without ...

I recently moved from Greenbee to Plusnet so was in a similar situation to you. In answer to your questions: 1. My BB changeover was seamless, got an email to say it had been done & just logged back in again using my new PN details. 2. I'm sure that's possible as I kept my Waitrose email address when I moved over ( I had previously kept it when I went from Waitrose to ...

Hi James, You can do all the above, but you will need to instigate the changeover by speaking tio Madasafish customer services. It's something that happens regularly, so I wouldn't worry. James Bailey Plusnet Comms Team Service Status :: RSS :: Email :: Twitter

Hi, I have just done exactly what you suggest. The broadband move was fine and seamless, as was keeping my MAAF email, for which an annual charge is made. The phone move was a little trickier with James sorting it out as I was passed round various irrelevant deaprtments, and was set up on the wrong package (eve and weekends). My domain was incorrrectly switched off and took several...

Hi Thanks for all your replies esp James! One last thing is something or a catch with Plusnet Premium with Talk Anytime vs the MAAF 50GB product in terms of traffic shaping? And does it have binary news group access? Also would be best to transfer the domain out 1st. How long did the whole 'move' all take? Last Jan i think James on hear offed me a £10 off deal if i stayed with...

My broadband move only took a few days. The phone move took a lot longer and I enlisted the help of James and his big stick to get it sorted! Dennis plus net value Edited by reserved (Thu 05-Nov-09 18:37:33)

Hi All, I've have just been reading more on the plusnet site and it's seems with them vs MAAF you don't any webspace (for free) and would there be the setup charge of £30? Also how much will it cost to keep my MAAF email please? James. Pipex from 512k days > Max Now with Madasafish - but on the plus.net network. Netgear DG834g - 2 of them - one set to WDS mode. Running ...

Yes, no, nothing There wouldn't be a setup fee as there's no migration or provide order. I'm sure we can arrange to keep your address free of charge. There's no webspace on Plusnet, but there's enough free hosting places around that you should be able to find something. I use x10hosting - Although you have to log into their forums every two weeks to keep your account active, ...

Hi James, It properly will be best to pay the £25 and move my domain to heart internet first would it? I have never had time to do a web site but always wanted one!
