Thread: mossberg 500 field or stoeger uplander?

Started 1 month, 1 week ago by c_brutsche
Hey guys, finally buying a new shotgun this weekend and narrowed it down to either a mossberg 500 field or a stoeger uplander s x s. now i really want a s x s but my wallet can only put out about 300-400 bux. so, is this stoeger uplander a piece of junk and i should just go with the mossberg 500 field? or is the stoeger uplander a model to contend with the mossberg 500 field?

I only have 50 rounds...

It does have a bit of a kick w/ 3" magnum loads. I can install one of those, though. For a field grade ...

thanks guys...how do you think the s x s stoeger would be for occasional trap shooting. not competition just an outting with friends or family?

The Stoeger will do fine. I have a 12 and 20 that I've used a lot for clay and hunting. They are not match grade guns but then I'm not a match grade shooter. The Mossberg is also a good shotgun.
