That would probably be the quickest/easiest solution James. In future you might also want to look at making a backup of your Compressor prefs (indeed, for all of your ProApps) ... Jon Chappell's excellent and free Preference Manager app is well worth checking out. I'm using that app...but I didn't make a backup of them...it's a new machine that I'm trying to get setup. I'll just uninstall and reinstall (then backup!)

cool ... but just make sure you check that your "Settings" and "Destinations" options are ticked as by default they are not.

Here's a good question. Using a MXO2 at work (MacPro) and a MXO2 Mini with my laptop...the drivers are different. I used Preference Manager to restore settings to the Compressor on my MBP...but they came FROM my MacPro with MXO2. All the settings came back and look fine. Compressor seems to be working. Will they work? Or should I reinstall the driver?

no worries Jason, the Matrox MAX presets for Compressor are the same regardless of unit ... there are multiple flavors of MXO2 hardware but there is only one flavor of MAX.
